Soundic Radio is one of Sweden's oldest web radio stations and behind stands the non-profit association Soundic Media. The radio started in 2001 through a merger of 2 smaller stations. Although we have come as far as we have done, there is much work left. Soundic Radio is run by people where the majority consists of young people who are very involved in radio and is based entirely on voluntary work. None of us receive any pay for this but we do it for our burning interest in radio and we think it's fun.

We try to create an atmosphere that will remind you of the commercial radio comparable to stations like NRJ, Rix FM and Mix Megapol, to name a few. The difference between us and those stations is that we also play music that is not played by them. We play everything from Pop, Trance, Dance and House with a focus on hits contemporary, but you can also hear the old classics from the 70s to 90s.

As a listener we give you live broadcasts by our professional radiohosts that mixes traditional radio-talking with games, greetings, wishes and of course much more. Our hosts come from all over Sweden and therefore extends our music further, since each host has its own profile and taste in music.

Our organization exists solely on the internet which gives us an additional benefit. As the radio exists on the web, we have an intensive contact with our listeners and they can talk to us through programs such as mIRC (chat program) or via our website. This gives our listeners a unique chance to influence the music played on the radio where they easily could wish songs, send wishes to friends or simply thank us for making a great show or that Soundic Radio exists.

As we are on the internet, our listeners must have a computer and internet access and to facilitate the whole, we have different formats to listen to us. Right now it is possible to use the popular programs iTunes and Winamp, and a webplayer on the site based on Windows Media Player.

Our goal is that our listeners will be pleased with us and the range of music that we offer. If the requirement can not be met they can easily get in touch and tell us. For us, it is important that our listeners feel they can influence the music and what is happening in the studio.
